Graduated from a master degree in filmmaking at the ECAL/HEAD in Switzerland, Robin Mognetti writes, directs and exhibits short documentaries like: Totally Lies (Vision du Réel, IndieLisboa, La Roche sur Yon), Ne tissez pas.. (Premiers Plans d’Angers), Tout commence ici à Hyères (Côte Court). For the past years, he has worked as a cameraman on different projects. Recently he’s been collaborating with Valentin Merz on De Noche Los Gatos Son Pardos which premiered 2022 in the international competition in Locarno and is since then show in various festivals around the world (Rotterdam, Berlin Critics Week, São Paulo, Thessaloniki) and the short Brothers – A Family Film which premiered at Visions du Réel in 2020 and others such as : Riga International Short Film Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival or Tirana International Film Festival). He has also been collaborating with Laura Morales on Jeunesse! which was part of the documentary series FUTURA! for the RTS (Swiss television). In November 2023, Robin received an award from the Zurich Filmstiftung for the image of Valentin Merz's feature film : De Noche Los Gatos Son Pardos.
